Make Your Own Bug Repellant

It’s bug and bite season…why not make your own insect repellant – it’s less toxic!

Gather supplies: glass measuring cups, wooden spoon, measuring spoons, and clean spray bottles. 3/4 cup good quality witch hazel 2 Tbsp filtered apple cider vinegar 3 tsp of citronella essential oil 1/2 tsp of lavender essential oil 1/4 tsp eucalyptus essential oil 1/4 tsp geranium essential oil 1/4 tsp peppermint essential oil 1/4 tsp lemongrass essential oil 3/4 grapeseed oil

Measure out the witch hazel and vinegar. Mix well. Then add your essential oils. Mix well. Slowly add the oil in stream form and gently stir with wooden spoon. Make sure the mixture is well blended before pouring into spray bottles. Label and date bottle or bottles. Shake bottle well before use. Reapply as needed. Warning:  Smells good. Bugs don't like it.
